On the far western of Indonesia, there is a zero point on the island of Weh. We often knew Sabang, a city that reflected the aura of the Dutch colonial era. At the eastern end, there is the easternmost point there is a border town Sota, we often know as Merauke. The border with Papua New Guinea and the atmosphere of wilderness makes us feel far from an advanced civilization. Anthem “From Sabang to Merauke” creation R. Sunaryo it is firmly attached in the minds of many citizens of the nation of Indonesia. The song was to unify the differences that exist, as well as Indonesian uniting the various ethnic groups that exist in this country.

Unfortunately, the song was not enough to overcome the gulf in quality of education between the western and eastern part of Indonesia. We already feel one as a nation, but has not felt one of the quality of education. The distance still wide, while the government has a constitutional duty to develop the nation intellectual life – including the education of all citizens of the nation indiscriminately – continue to work hard to overcome the quality divide.

Not only about quality, access problems still exist in many regions of the country. There are still many children who drop out of school, especially at the turn of levels: from primary to secondary school, from junior high to high school, and from high school to university. The higher the level, the more they do not continue. The main reason is the economy, specifically if the family wants the child to help provide for the family. School certificate of elementary, junior high and high school would be enough and they think, the important thing a child can read, write, and count.

In this information era, someone who can read, write, and arithmetic are not enough to contribute in life. Entering the 21st century, Ministry of Education and Culture declared that all students should mastering 21st century skills as a basis Curriculum 2013, such as (1) the quality of good character, especially in terms of integrity, leadership, and fighting spirit; (2) basic literacy, especially reading, writing, numeracy, literacy and ICT, financial, and socio-cultural; (3) competence, especially 4C (critical, creative, communication, and collaboration). The summary can be seen in Table 1 as follows:

The toughest challenge is the inequality of resources between the initiator or education activists and the private sector (World of Business or World of Industry). There are mistaken in people’s perception of educational affairs. The state’s role is dominant, even only as set forth in the 45 Constitution, start from: (1) preamble which mentions the responsibility of the state is to develop the nation intellectual life, and (2) further amendment explicitly mentioned countries should allocate 20% of the budget for education sector , This perception is getting stronger when many regional head candidates campaigning for free education and free of charges. As if the country is very strong in bearing the burden of financing education. Parents out of responsibility and protested when there are any charges. On the other hand, school partnerships with the business world and the private sector has not been set. There is the case of a South Korean IT companies who donated a complete computer as indications of irregularities. Is not this greatly hindered the effort to improve the quality of our education, especially the increase in school facilities and infrastructure?

We should start thinking about a partnership of private businesses and schools constructively. We must think of the mutually beneficial cooperation through the framework of PPP (public-private partnership) and should officially arranged so there is no longer confusion implementation in that area. Private companies and Indonesian state owned enterprises wishing to donate can more freely donations through CSR (corporate social responsibility) for schools and educational programs run by community organizations without being haunted ethics violations or allegations of bribery. There is a balance between the parties and the excess resources are insufficient resources available.

Excessive and repeatedly fees for parents is very disturbing, especially if the use of funds does not adopt the principle of integrity and efficiency. Do not let any students are embarrassed or suicide because his parents could not pay for study tour or for a new uniform. Let us end story of irresponsible fund management as it was in our schools. Now is the era we build a partnership of all parties who have an interest in the existence of our school. Government Jokowi-JK encourages the active participation of the community in helping to solve the problems of the nation. The era of dominant governments and senseless of citizen’s needs is over. Ministry of Education and Culture currently has developed ecosystem that involves the entire community, from parents, communities and businesses around the school.

The progress of communications and information technology enabled the interaction between demand and supply of resources in the education sector such as transportation application that is now rampant. Why not? Companies or individuals wishing to donate in school X or student A who dropped out because their family asked them to working. Hub system as “matchmaking” between the giver and the recipient of the donation will be even better if equipped with a valid accountability and transparent reporting. One Indonesia, as a hub system for donation distribution that matched together between companies, schools, universities, academia, government, and the organization of education activists. Launch One Indonesia in July 23, 2016 will be a new era of development of ICT-based educational ecosystem.

With motto “One Click Away to Do Good Deed”, One Indonesia utilize professional networking of ICT in theis country that has been the backbone of the developer of online application of the world such as Oracle, Apple, Google, and Microsoft. They are Indonesian young people whose competence in world and will no doubt have the skills of the 21st century. We can start a step towards application-based contribution system that is simple, efficient, and accountable.
